Protologue Description: ABIES BALSAMEA (L.) Mill. var. phanerolepis, n. var., strobilis subcylindraceis; laminis ovuliferis maturis suborbicularibus vel reniformibus 8-13mm. longis; laminis membranaceis 8-13mm. longis, cuspide patenti exserta.
